User Specific Custom or Personalised Roles

See how to assign personalised permissions via custom roles to specific users.


Academy allows you to give individual users their own custom roles to allow different users to have their own set of permissions and to save having to create a new Platform Role for just one or two users.


This feature can be useful for users who have multiple responsibilities which may fall outside of their roles’ scope. Available permissions which can be given to users include:

  • The ability to manage users
  • The ability to manage programs
  • Access to the Academy’s configuration settings
  • Access to the Academy’s reports


To add user-specific custom roles;

  1. Open User Admin
  2. Search for and edit the user's profile
  3. Click the Add Custom Role button

Adjust the permissions and reporting access that will be available for this specific user.
