Adding Certificates of Completion

Certificates of Completion can be added to your Academy platform and are closely tied to the badging system. Before you begin setting up these certificates, please contact your representative at Guroo Learning to obtain the Certificate of Completion Word template.

Only System Administrators have the necessary permissions to add certificates of completion. If you do not have access, please contact the appropriate team member who manages these tasks. 

 

Setting Up Certificates of Completion

Start by navigating to the Platform Settings. Depending on your platform, this section may be labelled as Portal Settings or something similar.

Next, go to Badges and Settings and ensure Enable Certificate PDF is toggled on. 

From here, navigate to Certificate under the Badges section and click Add Certificate Template. 

Give the certificate template a name. Drag and drop or click to select files, and once uploaded, click Save. 

You can then choose to preview the certificate to check that you are happy with it. 

 

Linking a Certificate of Completion to a course

Once the certificate of completion is set up, you can link it to a badge or course by following these steps:

From Program Admin, go to Badges and search for the badge you want to link the certificate to. Click the arrow in the top right corner of the badge, then select Edit.

In the Edit screen, under the Certificate Template section, choose the certificate of completion.

You can then preview the certificate to ensure it’s the correct one.
